Clara Jacobs

	Clara Jacobs, 97, of Du Quoin, formerly of Elkville, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2003 at 10:57 p.m. in Marshall Browning Hospital.
	Mrs. Jacobs was the owner of LP Gas Business and a member of St. John Church of Christ.  
	She was born February 24, 1906 in Jackson County, the daughter of James and Rose (Spangler) Halstead.  She married Roger Jacobs on November 10, 1928 at Elkville and he preceded her in death on June 17, 1975.
	Surviving are two sisters, Juanita Martie of Elkville and Phyllis Loucks of Tamaroa; several nieces and nephews and many great and great-great-nieces and nephews.
	She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and one sister.
	Funeral services were Tuesday, July 1 at 11 a.m. at Neal-McClure Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bill Holzauer officiating.  Interment was in Elkville Cemetery.
	Friends called at the Neal-McClure Funeral Home on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 7:30 a.m. until time of services.
	Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Foundation.
